Preparing for installation
To ensure a smooth and efficient flooring installation process, we kindly ask our clients to prepare their space according to the following guidelines:
Specific Preparations
1. Kitchen cabinetry
All panels and kick boards need to be removed. Cabinetry should be supported on the subfloor.
2. Skirting boards
These need to be removed prior to flooring installation.
3. Window and door openings
Ensure these are flat and filled according to frame manufacturers' requirements.
4. Subfloor condition
The subfloor should be flat, clear, and clean. Industry standard recommends a maximum deviation of 3 mm over 3 m.
5. Remove contaminants
All loose paint and other contaminants must be removed from the subfloor.
Clear and Clean Workspace
1. Remove all furniture and items
The installation area must be completely clear of furniture, appliances, and personal items.
2. Clean the area thoroughly
Sweep and vacuum the subfloor to remove all dust and debris.
Additional Considerations
1. Work area
Please provide adequate space for our tools, equipment, and flooring materials.
2. Vehicle access
Ensure good vehicle access to your property for easy transportation of materials and equipment.
